By Metro: The metro (i.e. subway/underground) is a cheap and convenient way to travel around the city. Metro station are marked with the large letter "M". You can buy a metro token in the metro station from the cashier "kassa" . To determine the train you need look for the metro station's name in Cyrillic text on the signs above the escalators and also above the train platforms.

By Taxi: Taxis are also inexpensive. But from the train stations, seaport, airport and other tourist areas they cost more than normal. Prepare to bargain with the taxi driver. Take only officially marked taxis.

Getting to Ploschad Vosstania

From the train stations: There are 5 train stations in St.Petersburg. All train stations are on the same metro line. Please take a metro to Ploschad Vosstaniya metro station and get to the hostel by walk.You can also take a taxi.

From the Airport: From Pulkovo 2 International Airport we recommend a taxi to the hostel (40USD). By public transport take bus #13 (from Arrivals side of airport) to Moskovskaya metro station . It will be the first bus stop after the round-about. Take the metro train 5 stops to the Technologichesky Institute metro station. Exit this train and transfer to the train directly in front of you. Take this train northbound 3 stops to the Ploschad Vosstaniya.

From the Seaport: From Morskaya seaport we recommend a taxi to the hostel (20USD). By public transport take trolleybus (electric bus) #10 towards the center (30-40 minutes ride). Exit at the next stop after Ploschad Vosstaniya.
